What They Say
Acknowledged experts on the life and times of Sir Hubert Wilkins are amongst the many world-wide Wilkins’ aficionados who are first in line to receive their limited edition copy of “The Illustrated Sir Hubert Wilkins”
The author, who all of us who venture into the Wilkins world owe most, is Jeff Maynard. He has uncovered things that would never have seen the light of day without his tireless and wonderful work. He has another book coming out on Wilkins soon, and you will find me first in the queue to buy it.
At various times in his life Sir Hubert Wilkins was an explorer, aviator, war hero, scientist, environmentalist, and so much more. But at all times he was a photographer. I am pleased to introduce this book, which both showcases such remarkable photography, and illuminates the astonishing life of Sir Hubert Wilkins.
Jeff Maynard has been instrumental in finding collections of material belonging to Sir Hubert Wilkins which were in private hands. I consider him to be the foremost authority when it comes to Wilkins and have relied on his expertise in guiding other researchers.
